(left mouse click to stop and start the cube!) | | The fish were late to the beds this year and all wondered IF there would be anything to catch. The early 'netting' yielded little. The cane polls gave nothing at all. The noon weigh-in loomed in the distance and the eager thoughts of fresh fish seemed almost beyond reach.
Slowly, then surely, the net ensnared its prey. Sometimes 3, often more, the "keepers" were released into the live-well. There will be a fish fry after all.

At the weigh in over 60 pounds of Talapia were filleted and fried ensuring a feast of plenty. Host (and project Chairman) Larry "Outdoor" Jones provided beverages, cleaning table, coleslaw, shrimp and cookers and "fry cook" Ed Johnson prepared and served up tender fish, hush puppies and good cheer for all. |
